This video assumes that you have already watched and followed the NESmaker 4.5 Orientation on the LEARN page. It will build on skills learned and the project built in that video. It will also require additional files, which you can download at this link (Downloading these files will also be the first step in this tutorial video).
In the first part of our adventure game tutorial, we will begin to integrate some new scripts that help us handle changing screens when our player gets to a screen boundary and learn one way to create melee weapons. We will grow our subroutines, macros, and input scripts to include new scripts created for this particular genre, and learn how to update our tutorial project to include them.
